34 Degrees South helps the client to appoint his/her own permanent personal care assistants by finding the right match of assistant to client; introducing possible candidates; setting up interviews; providing the necessary contracts of employment and by helping the client to manage his/her personal care assistant.

34 Degrees South pays particular attention to ensuring that our personal care assistants have sufficient training and/or the skills and experience to confidently fulfil their role. Every assistant undergoes a carefully selected series of courses to equip them with knowledge of home based care, first aid and tetraplegia.

We ensure continuous cover

We have selected UK-based care agency, Ambition24Hours, to provide respite cover on our behalf. Ambition24Hours is an established and highly respected agency that pioneered the concept of 24 hour assistance in the UK.

The services of Ambition24Hours are used only in emergencies, at no extra cost to the clients of 34 Degrees South. However, the client is responsible for the fee that Ambition24Hours charges.

We offer a complete package of services

At an extra cost of £15/calendar month, we will manage the PAYE and National Insurance of your personal care assistant, including all relevant paperwork and the settlement of Inland Revenue requirements.

Should you consider a holiday to South Africa, we’ll assist you with the planning of an unforgettable vacation.

Should you need a personal care assistant to help you while on holiday to South Africa – or any other destination – we’ll supply you with an experienced carer – at a significantly lower rate than in the UK.
