Care Packages
34 Degrees South specialises in the placement of long-term personal
care assistants. All our contracts begin with a 6-month term
and can be extended, should both client and personal care assistant
wish to do so.
We offer two standard care packages, however our contracts are
readily adapted to fit each clients’ specific profile.
We are flexible and open to recommendations, so please feel free
to talk to us about your needs.
One permanent personal care assistant
With respite care provided
by a second assistant
As it is impossible to work 24 hours
a day, seven days a week, our permanent personal care assistants
are placed as follows:
3 weeks on / 1 week off (working week consist of 7 days) or
2 weeks on/ 1 week off (working week consist of 7 days) or
4 weeks continuously, but in this case a working week consist
of only 5 days
During the week that the permanent personal care
assistant is off, 34 Degrees South provides a respite personal
care assistant
(always the same person). The client therefore has two people
working for him/her – one is his/her permanent personal
care assistant and one is his/her respite personal care assistant.
Two permanent care assistants, employed simultaneously
This can be done at the same cost as employing one permanent
and one respite personal care assistant. In this case, both personal
care assistants will live in at the same time. Each personal
care assistant will work the equivalent of 3,5 full days per
week, with two full days off. The client will determine the shifts
that each assistant will work, which will be finalised before
the assistants begin their contract.
Each personal care assistant contributes £25/week towards
food and extra accommodation costs (for example: gas, electricity
and water).
