We will go out of our way to find a working environment that best compliments each assistant’s personality, culture and goals. We want our carers to finish each placement with a smile and many positive memories.

We understand how difficult it can be to secure the necessary funds to work in the United Kingdom. We make it that little bit easier by finding you employment at no cost to yourself! Applicants who are already in the United Kingdom are also welcome to use our placement services.

Because we care about your needs and rights

Our personal experience as personal care assistants gives us great insight into the rewards and demands of this role. The needs and rights of our personal care assistants are as important to us as the satisfaction of our clients.

We ensure that our clients are aware of the physical, emotional and personal needs of their personal care assistants. We stress the importance of mutual respect for each other.

We ensure that our clients understand your need to have time out to rest and relax. Our live-in personal care assistants are entitled to eight hours sleep at night, and two hours off during the day. While this may not always be practically possible, our clients are sensitive to this requirement.

We ensure that you are protected from unfair or unreasonable treatment by any of our clients (provided that any complaint can be proven). We take the contractual obligations of the client, personal care assistant and 34 Degrees South very seriously.

We ensure that we are always approachable, supportive and available to our carers, should they feel the need to talk to us, via any channel (e-mail, telephone or text message).
